Welcome to the Brights Philippines Forum.
A Bright is a person with a naturalistic worldview, free from mystical and supernatural elements.
The movement's three major aims are:
1. Promote the civic understanding and acknowledgment of the naturalistic worldview, which is free of supernatural and mystical elements.
2. Gain public recognition that persons who hold such a worldview can bring principled actions to bear on matters of civic importance.
3. Educate society toward accepting the full and equitable civic participation of all such individuals.

The-Brights.net unites all nonbelievers, and shows the world that we are not such a small minority.
This is a unofficial forum of the Brights Movement and is meant for Brights in the Philippines.
Since the Brights Movement is quite new, especially in the Philippines we do lack Members. Hopefully we can change that in the future.

Here is Alfredos (DB) message regarding the books donation:

The Bureau of Corrections has a program for continuing education of the poorer inmates in the national penitentiary in my city, Muntinlupa. They will take any book as a donation to the prison library but they prefer old high school textbooks and technical or vocational handbooks i.e. woodworking/carpentry, electronics, animal husbandry, mechanical repair and the like.
Anyone interested in donating books for this purpose ...

Hello everybody,
our second Administrator Alfredo (DB) is too busy right now and we do need someone who is willing to join our Administration Boat therefore.
I do not speak any tagalog nor visayas (shame on me, I am german), and so we really do need a Filipino in the front row, for our Brights Philippines Movement.
